he Indian Coast Guard is a multi-mission organization, conducting round-the-year real-life operations at sea. Despite being relatively small, it has a wide range of task capabilities for both surface and air operations. The organization is headed by the Director General Indian Coast Guard (DGICG) exercising his overall command and superintendence from the Coast Guard Headquarters (CGHQ) located at New Delhi.

7. Important Instructions. (i) The candidates are to choose first and second choice of centre from the same zone only. First and second choice from different zones will be rejected. Candidates from North West zone and A&N zone will have only one choice. (ii) The candidates from Mizoram, Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Tripura will only be accepted for examination centres at Shillong and Aizwal. (iii) Cut off percentage of a particular centre will be decided depending upon the number of applications with higher percentage received. (iv) Candidates will be selected on the basis of Zones as mentioned above and not on basis of centres.
